In the 1970’s, a wise, vibrant, tenacious businessman applied the coveted values of Business to the Automobile Industry. He was a famous pioneer in Automobile Explorations(Volkswagens, Audi and the likes) in Ghana. He established an assembling plant at the cost of $18 million in the 1970’s in Ghana which was to produce an estimate of about 4,000 Audi and Volkswagen cars annually but was ceased and halted by the Coup D’etat in 1979.
His Goal Was Simple
To create a committed family of employees who delivered on the opportunity for Ghanaian families to live the dream of owning cars.
The late Emmanuel Kweku Owusu (KOWUS), pioneer of German automobiles in Ghana, committed his heart and soul to our comfort, our mobility, and to the homes of Ghanaians. His factory plant which was to assemble Volkswagen and Audi vehicles would not have only solved transportation problems but would have created employment for the vast majority of citizens.
